  • “Learning 200 Words Is Difficult?” Mohandas Pai Slams SBI Manager For Refusing To Speak In Kannada

TV Mohandas Pai criticized an SBI branch manager for not using Kannada.

He argued that businesses should communicate in local languages for respect.

Pai emphasized learning basic Kannada is not too difficult for bank staff.

Former Infosys director TV Mohandas Pai slammed an SBI branch manager in Karnataka for refusing to communicate in Kannada with local customers. Mr Pai called the manager’s behaviour “very, very wrong”, arguing that businesses should serve local customers in a language they understand. He further emphasised that learning basic Kannada phrases is a matter of respect. He further emphasised that the expectation wasn’t for bank staff to become fluent in Kannada, but rather to learn basic phrases to communicate respectfully with local customers.

Mr Pai’s comments sparked a debate online, with some agreeing that service providers should make an effort to communicate in local languages.

“You are very, very wrong. Every business must serve its local customers in a language they understand. This is not the British Raj again. This is a service business. Learning to say 200 words to converse is difficult? Nobody is asking anyone to read and write, but to converse, learn a few words to show respect to your customers. They are customers, not your captives or subjects. Thus arrogance is very,y very wrong, ” Mr Pai wrote on X in response to a user.

  • Gujarat Titans’ Brave Declaration On Missing Jos Buttler In IPL Playoffs: “Doesn’t Worry Us…”

Jos Buttler‘s absence in the knockout stages may expose Gujarat Titans’ middle order but the assistant coach Matthew Wade feels it also presents an opportunity for others to make a “big impact”. GT’s top-order trio of Sai SudharsanShubman Gill, and Buttler has been instrumental in their campaign, with all three scoring over 500 runs this season. However, GT will miss Buttler’s services in the playoffs, with the Englishman set to return for national duty after their final league game against Chennai Super Kings on May 25.

“It certainly doesn’t worry us, we know that those guys are in terrific form when they’ve got the opportunity and that they’ll do a great job for us,” said Wade during the pre-match press conference.

“It’d be nice if the top three keeps scoring the majority of the runs. We’re going to lose Jos after a few more games so there’s going to be another opportunity for someone to come in at three and take that role over.

“But I’m really confident that those guys, when they get their opportunity, they’ll make a big impact in the games like they have when they’ve been needed over the last six or eight weeks.” Wade, a former Australia T20 World Cup-winning wicketkeeper-batter who has played 12 IPL matches for GT, said while it is difficult to replicate match situations in practice, the team is trying to give the middle-order batters adequate preparation.

“The positive thing is the middle order — Sherfane (Rutherford) and Shahrukh (Khan), guys like that, (Rahul) Tewatia — they’ve had good impact in games when they’ve got the opportunity, they just haven’t got a lot of game time over the last few weeks.

  • 10 Years On, Indian Man Still On FBI’s ‘Most Wanted List’. Reward: $250,000

Bhadreshkumar Patel, a Gujarati man accused of murdering his wife in Maryland in 2015, is now on the FBI’s ten most-wanted list. He allegedly killed Palak Patel at a donut shop and has been on the run since. Authorities suspect he may have fled to India.

A Gujarati man, accused of killing his wife in Maryland in 2015, is still on the run and has now made his way to the FBI’s ten most-wanted fugitive list.

Patel, 34, had allegedly killed his wife, Palak Patel, by striking her multiple times while they were working at a donut shop in Hanover, Maryland. On April 12, 2015, Patel lashed out at his wife and struck her several times with an object, which ultimately resulted in her death.

Since the murder, Patel has been on the loose. Eight days after the murder a federal arrest warrant was issued for Patel.

Federal agents and county police officers met to recognise that its been 10 years since the homicide and to urge the community to help locate Bhadreshkumar Patel.

Per the FBI, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.

From what was visible on the CCTV footage, the couple headed towards the kitchen and disappeared from the view. A customer got suspicious after no one responded to his order. According to the FBI, he then alerted the police after finding Palak’s body in the kitchen.

According to investigators, Palak Patel, who was 21 at the time, wanted to move to India, which he opposed. Their visas had also expired a month before the murder.

“The best guess is that he didn’t want her to leave,” Special Agent Jonathan Shaffer of the FBI’s Baltimore Division said, after the FBI included Patel in their most wanted list. “It’s possible he thought he would be disgraced by her leaving and returning to India,” Shaffer said.

Police Chief Amal E. Awad also said that Palak Patel worked seven days a week to support her life in America and her family in India.

Officials now suspect that he might have fled back to India. His last known location was Newark, New Jersey area.

Special Agent Jonathan Shaffer from the FBI’s Baltimore Division, stated in a 2017 statement that Patel might be staying with distant relatives in the US, from where he fled to Canada. “Or he could have travelled through Canada back to India,” Shaffer added.

Patel was added to the top 10 most wanted list in 2017. His bounty was thereafter increased from $100,000 to $250,000. The FBI has also called Patel “armed and extremely dangerous” and has asked the public for any information on him.

“We are urging our community to help us locate Bhadreshkumar Patel and to share this message on every social media platform available,” Awad told reporters. “As long as Bhadreshkumar Patel remains free, continuing to elude law enforcement, no intimate partner involved with this evil degenerate will be safe.”

“Our focus is not only on locating Palak’s killer but also on understanding the circumstances that led to her tragic murder,” Awad said, adding the “unprovoked attack has left us with so many unanswered questions”, per The Baltimore Banner.

An Indian-origin man, Paresh Patel, was fatally shot in the U.S. by a robber posing as a customer, captured on CCTV. In 2023, 86 Indians faced violent attacks abroad, prompting the Indian government to prioritise safety and ensure proper investigations.

An Indian origin man was fatally shot by a man posing as a customer in the United States. The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera.

Paresh Patel, the victim, was from Dingucha, a village in the state of Gujarat, in India.

The victim was in the shop, when the killer came to the shop and posed as a customer. The killer first tried to rob him of the money at the cash counter. Patel seemed to follow his instructions, however the killer shot him dead after robbing all the money.

  • How Can Mumbai Indians Top IPL 2025 Points Table – All Scenarios Explained

Mumbai Indians became the final team to book their spot in the IPL 2025 Playoffs after a comprehensive victory over Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. Suryakumar Yadav produced a stunning batting display while Jasprit Bumrah was at his best once again as MI beat DC by 59 runs. Thanks to the win, MI are currently fourth with 16 points but the Hardik Pandya-led side can still finish at the top of the points table. If MI win their match against Punjab Kings while PBKS, Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru all lose their remaining matches, the five-time champions will find themselves in the top spot.

Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya on Wednesday lauded the exceptional bowling skills of Mitchell Santner and Jasprit Bumrah, saying they makes his job as captain a lot easier.

After MI posted a competitive 180 for five, built around Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 73 off 43 balls, Santner (3/11) and Bumrah (3/12) shared six wickets to skittle out Delhi Capitals for 121 in 18.2 overs.

“I can throw the ball whenever I want, they bring such control and perfection which makes my job very easy,” said Pandya at the post-match presentation as rain lashed the Wankhede Stadium.

“We would’ve been very happy to get 160 but the way Naman and Surya finished it. Especially Naman, to come out and just hit on a difficult track was outstanding.” Naman Dhir smashed 24 off just eight balls, including two sixes and two fours, to provide the late flourish.

Knocked out of title contention, Delhi Capitals’ stand-in skipper Faf du Plessis said their failure to qualify for the IPL playoffs was a reflection of a faltering campaign.

DC were eliminated after failing to chase 181, crumbling to 121 all out for a massive 59-run defeat.

“If you looked at the two teams before today’s fixture, it was a case of David and Goliath, I enjoy that because it gives guys the opportunity to really play together as a team,” du Plessis said.

“Rizvi today showed some signs, he’s got some talent there. When you’re playing against a powerful team like this, you need to be at your best all the time and unfortunately for 17-18 overs we were and then the last two overs we were pretty average.

“With the bat, we needed a good start on a surface like that and we didn’t get going at all. Sums up pretty much our season, we’ve been cold in either batting or bowling in the last 6-7 games. To be in the top four in the IPL, you can’t afford to do that.”
